Leif Mutén Society had provided me with financial support to visit one of the most international conferences for students in Europe – World Business Dialogue. The conference itself is hosted in Cologne, Germany, organized completely by students to students. An impressive number of 300 participants from more than 60 countries are picked after a selection process. More than 50 top-grade specialists from the areas of business, science and politics engage with the students in panel discussions, workshops and presentations. In addition to the students and guest speakers, the Dialogue is full of business executives interacting with students and participating in the same activities – which just show that the quality of the event is extremely high. In a nutshell, World Business Dialogue is simply four days of great ideas, an unimaginable amount of networking and great parties every evening with people from all over the world.

In March, 2013 I had a truly amazing opportunity to attend 16th World Business Dialogue in Cologne, Germany, which was made possible thanks to the support provided by Leif Mutén Society. Having heard exciting stories and wonderful impressions of previous attendees from our school, I got really motivated to apply and I succeeded in being accepted to the conference. Apart from the high-quality discussions by top executives, perfectly organized event and the beauty of West-German cityscape, I couldn’t appreciate more a unique chance to meet 300 talented, passionate, smart students from all over the world. Not only did I have a good time communicating with them in Germany, but those connections served me a great deal in the future and I constantly keep in touch with some people. WBD is one of a kind event that any ambitious, smart young person would hate to miss on. The atmosphere that prevails there is unrivaled, and the strength of connections that are built there is unbelievable. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that during your studies WBD would surely be one of the most memorable, enriching and useful experiences you can possibly have. Totally apply, so did I – for the second time!
